Darwin Hybrid

Height: 60-70 cm
Flowering time: April-May

Darwin Hybrid tulips are crossings of the famous Fosteriana tulip 'Madame Lefeber with various tulips from the Darwin group. The result is a series of tulips with very large flowers and strong, long stems. When the buds are still immature, they look almost like little pyramids. Darwin Hybrid tulips are therefore very suitable as cut flowers. In the garden, pick a corner with little wind.

Darwin Hybrid

Double Early

Height: 25-30 cm
Flowering time: April

Double Early tulips have double flowers, short and strong stems, and an early flowering period. On a sunny day when the flowers are fully open, they measure a diameter of 7.5 to 10 cm. There are fewer colors available than in other species but the double flower makes this more than good.

Double Early

Double Late

Height: 45 cm
Flowering time: May

Because of their shape, Double Late tulips are also known as peony-flowered tulips. The flowers are always large and double, and can easily reach a diameter of 10 cm. Double Late tulips perform exceptionally well in regions having cold winters and late springs.

Double Late

Fosteriana

Height: 25-30 cm
Flowering time: April

Fosteriana tulips have a slim flower shape and large, sometimes striped leaves. Fosteriana tulip is a wild species found in the mountainous region of Central Asia. Although no longer being cultivated, many of these wonderful tulips are still on the market.

Fosteriana

Fringed

Height: 50 cm
Flowering time: April–May

The petals of Fringed Tulips look like the frayed edge of a piece of satin fabric. These tulips are descendants of several other groups, which vary in height and flowering period. The only characteristic they have in common is their sharp, serrated petals.

Fringed

Greigii

Height: 15-20 cm
Flowering time: April

Greigii tulips have a six-petalled flower on a short, sturdy stem with pointed leaves. Greigii tulips come in bright colors, often a combination of two colors. Combined with their striped and spotted leaves, the flowers give a beautiful picture. The flowers are large compared to the plant and are opened wide in full sun. Great for planters and bedding plants. Easy to naturalise.

Greigii

Kaufmanniana

Height: 15-20 cm
Flowering time: April

Kaufmanniana Tulips are early flowering tulips and very small, therefore ideal for pots. During the sunny hours of the day the flowers are wide open and give an entirely different color effect than when closed.

Kaufmanniana

Lily-flowered

Height: 55 cm
Flowering time: April–May

Lily-flowered tulips have slender flowers often with pointed petals. The flower stems are thin and not very sturdy, making them susceptible to wind.

Lily-flowered

Parrot

Height: 55-60 cm
Flowering time: April-May

The petals of the Parrot Tulips are jagged or curled. As the large flowers open in the sun, they open so wide that they almost fall apart. When the flower opens, the brilliant colors are revealed.

Parrot

Single Early

Height: 30 cm
Flowering time: April

Single early tulips have sturdy flowers with a very distinct shape. They are constructed of six petals that are usually pointed at the tip. These tulips are very suited to flower containers, beds and borders.

Single Early

Single Late

Height: 50-60 cm
Flowering time: May

Single Late Tulips are the largest and most popular tulips. Single Late tulips are available in almost all colors, including some unusual varieties. Single late tulips are first class cut-flowers.

Single Late

Triumph

Height: 45 cm
Flowering time: April–May

Triumph Tulips are crosses from Single Early and Single Late tulips. This gives Triumph Tulips a sturdy stem and an extraordinarily beautiful cone-shaped flower. There are many types available in every color. Suitable as cut flowers with a long vase life or of course in the garden.

Triumph

Viridiflora

Height: 55 cm
Flowering time: May

Viridiflora tulips are so fascinating because the petals contain green. Translated from Latin Viridiflora means: greenish flower. Viridiflora tulips remain well over 3 weeks and are therefore great as cut-flower.

Viridiflora
